Artist looking to impart Painting tutions to kids to teach basic drawing, perspective, shapes, shadows, colour and Painting techniques (Oil, Mixed Media, Acrylics, Textures etc.) An active participant at many exhibitions in the UAE.

ABOUT ME: I am a fully qualified psychology tutor and psychologist. I am a very friendly, outgoing person and enjoy learning new things and solving problems. I am good at an odd range of things, from Painting to carpentry to web design, and of course, tutoring.

MY EXPERIENCE:
I have been an associate tutor in psychology and science subjects for the past four years. I enjoy this immensely and find the challenge of different learning styles exciting. I teach from tiny children to adulthood, and often teach people considerably older than myself, which is wonderful. I have considerable experience with dyslexic students and tailor teaching to their learning styles. I am fully conversant in all Psychology Syllabi; AQA, OCR, and EdExcel.

QUALIFICATIONS: BSc 1st Hons Psychology University Sussex
MRes, PhD, Enhanced CRB disclosure. Associate Tutor Training 1 year.

MY APPROACH TO TUTORING:
I realise that everyone has a unique learning style and I modify any teaching that I give to the individual requirements. If you learn using visuals, these will be emphasised. If you learn under pressure, tests will be given. If you cannot process written work well, verbal learning will be emphasized. I understand that you might not fit into the stereotypical read-and-rehearse pattern and that's ok. I have a flair for making difficult concepts simple, and believe that if you cannot put your idea on the back of a postcard for a 6 year old, you don't know what you're talking about.

MY PRICE: £30 per hour, £20 per hour for online msn or skype style tuition.

MY RANGE: 15 mile radius from Brighton & Hove.

Most of my working life is woven with teaching and most of which has been teaching English as a foreign language. I really enjoy sharing the learning process and it should always be fun regardless of the level of learning.

My particular teaching interests include teaching young learners. I taught English in Hong Kong for language agencies in schools (mostly primary level) and as a private tutor to young learners and adults for over seven years. I also taught (part time) very young learners (3-6 years) in Tokyo for a language agency. While living in Dubai I worked as a primary school teacher in the United Arab Emirates 2004. The following six years I have been a full time painter and have engaged in public art projects and teaching workshops in Dubai. I returned to language teaching while living in Prague 2009-2010 and wish to continue teaching here in Beijing on a part time basis.
For adult learners I have brought some superb resources to Beijing with me such as National Geographic Heinle learning materials and I have a variety of activities and resources for young learners.
